This song, RENEW, wrote itself the first time I heard the beat while driving and was so captivated that I had to pull over my car and just write the song right there on the side of the road.

The was a renewal of my Spirit in that process…

An unexpected dive into what’s most alive for me, what I care about most when considering my approach to living a life – awake and connected to my deepest intentions.

I tapped the whole song into my phones notes and then carried on.
And several months later it was brought to visual life in a landscape allegorically and metaphorically tied to the RENEWal of the Human Spirit – the desert.

There’s also a clear nod to Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues video but with my approach peering through a slightly different *frame* of my own 😉

Massive Thanks to my brother Wooden Mirror Pictures for sojourning to the desert with me and pulling off this vision that mother nature damn near shut down all together. Our will and necessary creative adaptations in the moment proved victorious, but not without a ton of trials to earn the blessing of this most sacred and special landscape. (It was just the two of us out there to pull this video off.)
